A year of learning and connection

Expand your viewpoints, approaches, and opportunities as a LOFT Fellow. This full-time, one-year paid program includes top-notch business coursework, real-world simulations and experience, networking, and coaching. All of it is designed to help you uncover new ways to collaborate, tackle problems, explore innovative thinking, and understand new technologies.

We’ve brought together leaders in the educational, business, and political arenas to create a first-of-its-kind fellowship specifically designed to expand progressive campaign and public service leaders’ approaches and resources. By laddering business and leadership skills with coaching, the LOFT Fellowship will help you learn how to build better teams, create winning strategies, and advance your career. 

  • Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan

    Michigan Ross is committed to building a better world through business. LOFT Fellows will benefit from this mission through a ten day immersive leadership program.

  • McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University

    As an institution dedicated to preparing students to make a difference in the world, Georgetown McDonough will play an active role in educating LOFT Fellows. The custom curriculum taught by Georgetown faculty will expand our Fellows’ business skills.

  • Tailored Application Sessions

    As part of the curriculum, we have developed tailored application sessions that combine panel discussions, case studies, speakers, hands-on practice, and interactive exercises to dive deeper into topics and provide real-world experience.

  • Individualized Coaching

    Work one-on-one with leadership and career coaches to learn to build on your strengths and shore up challenges. Get insights to help you grow your leadership skills and map a path forward for continued development and career advancement.

  • Executive-Level Externships

    Gain hands-on business experience over the summer. You will be embedded in the leadership team of a top business to explore how the skills you’ve been learning can directly impact day-to-day operations and outcomes.

A curriculum for growth

LOFT Fellows will be based in Washington, D.C. where they will attend courses downtown. Curriculum will focus on four core areas where top leaders thrive: strategy, team leadership, disciplined execution, and influencing with integrity and will include:

  • Private sector externships

Earn while you learn

LOFT Fellows will earn a competitive salary and receive benefits throughout the one-year program:

  • Salary of $9,000/month

  • Medical coverage during the duration of the Fellowship

  • Dental coverage during the duration of the Fellowship

  • Paid time off

  • Transportation and lodging for two weeks spent at the University of Michigan
