The program will kick off with virtual orientation on January 16, 2025 and in person programming begins in Michigan on January 21. The program runs 12 months, concluding on January 15, 2026. There will be several breaks throughout the year.

The LOFT Fellowship is a full-time program. You will have daily classes, activities and responsibilities.

The program begins in Ann Arbor, Michigan with an intensive leadership program taking place from January 21, 2025 through January 30, 2025. Starting February 3, the program will be based in downtown Washington, D.C. Of course, networking and other events will take place throughout the city.
During the summer, you’ll participate in an externship with a top business, which may be remote or in-person. -
The LOFT Fellowship is designed for experienced senior leaders who have worked at least two cycles on a political campaign or on Capitol Hill.

The program takes place Monday through Friday. Your days involve preparing for and attending classes, collaborating in small groups to work and engage in activities, meeting with your coach, and attending guest speaker sessions. Also - happy hours and networking events.

Courses will be taught by faculty from University of Michigan and Georgetown University in collaboration with LOFT staff. Application sessions will be facilitated by LOFT staff and visiting expert faculty.

Fellows will be responsible for finding their own housing in the Washington, D.C. area.

The Fellowship is a full-time program with activities Monday through Friday during business hours and some evenings.

There will be scheduled breaks throughout the program for the holidays and in the spring and summer.

The program will cover travel to and from Michigan, as well as housing and most meals while you are there.
